The month of September was filled with doing a lot of things "one last time" before the days turn cooler, darkers and shorter (ugh!) Here is a recap of the fleeting days of summer and the awakening days of autumn.
Visiting family at the cottage in Maine on the lake...
Annual lobster dinner at the cottage...
The awesome Portland Children's Museum. My little guy thought the "fire truck" was the best thing there!
Hiking Mt. Philo. Overlooking Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. I never tire of this view.
Running barefoot in the grass...
Making forts and having picnic lunches in the forts...
Art project for the "Art Fits Vermont" community art project...
Fresh colors of autumn...
Hello October and welcome autumn!

Hello Mary,
Actually I live in Vermont, but have friends and family that live in beautiful Maine, so we visit as often as we can. Glad you enjoyed it!

What a fantastic post. I love summer and don't love the rain, here in Vancouver! You must live in Maine. I here it's so beautiful there! Would love to visit sometime!

Oh what wonderful photos!! I loved to play at the museum as a little girl. The last photo is so peaceful, I can smell the crisp air.
