Seeing Red, Everyday : 13

My shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom. Yes, it is very colorful! I call it cheerful, but some visitors have said, "oh wow, it is...different". To each his own!

I made these when we first moved in five years ago. The shower curtain is actually two tablecloths I ordered from Crate and Barrel with Marimekko Unikko fabric that I just love. I cut them to size, sewed up the seams, and used a grommet maker from work to put the grommets in. Easy.

Hello again MamaShift,
The wall color is a chartreuse green color called Green Apple, from Behr. It is very dificult to photograph! Maybe when I get my new camera it will be easier!

So glad to know there are people out there that "get it"! Lucky you on that shift...I have a little 3yr old boy, so I don't think he will be wearing it all to soon. But, I did his bathroom curtain in the same Unikko pattern, only in blue, he loves it!!

Is that a sort of pistachio green on the walls? Or is it yellow? In any case, I love how the red contrasts! And phooey to those who called them different! My mom was into Marimekko in the 80's; I've always loved it. Last summer, I scored a very loud Merimekko shift for my 2 year-old, much like your curtains. It was too big, so she'll be wearin' it with pride (I hope/think) this summer!
