quick holiday crafting

I love tea towels. I came up with a new idea this year to use them in a more decorative way by making a Christmas banner. I found this really cute tea towel at Mesa International, a local store here in Vermont (they don't seem to have a website) anyway, I just turned over the top part of the tea towel and sewed a "pole pocket" across the top. Hung it from some colorful fabric (ribbon would work, too) and voila! There. Fast, easy and fun! My kind of craftin' these days. Colin helped inserting the dowel into the pole pocket. Then he decided that it would be fun to wave it around while marching. "My fwag, mama, my fwag (flag)!"

Enjoy your day!

First sale in my new shop!

Yeah! I had my first sale in my new shop yesterday! Thanks Rich! He bought one of my little Brag Books. I have to say, I really love these little guys. They are the easiest gift to give. Yup. No brainer. Just print off a few wallet size photos of your little cuties from your home computer, pop them in the brag book, wrap it up and there you go! Easy. Really. And, you will get loads of complements on what a cute "picture holder" you have.

Let the season begin!

These little Brag Books are in my shop today! They make really great gifts for aunts, uncles and friends, filled with pictures of your little ones. I've kept one in my purse for awhile now and when I show people the pictures inside, they usually comment on the Brag Book first....go figure!

Have a good week!

Hello and Welcome!

Hello there, after a year of lurking in the crafty blog world I've decided to start my own. So here I am, welcome! I want to thank all you crafty bloggers for giving me great inspiration, energy, and the motivation that I needed to get myself out of an arts and craft rut I have been in for awhile.

For a while now I have NOT been making things ( I know the horror of it!) And this lifestyle has been really bring me down and making me basically very cranky and not easy to live with (ask my husband!) So, here I am and ready to share with you what I have been up to these day in my creative world.

Also, in the motivated state that I have been in, I have open a gift shop at Etsy to share with you some of the things that I love to make. Stop by and take a look, I hope you like what you see. Many of the things I make I use myself or make for my family. Etsy will be a place for me to share them to you, enjoy!

So, off I go to the studio to create. I have a few hours while my little sweetie sleeps...I must create fast! Have a good day!
